Smile and Be Happy

This life is so very short
So why harbor those frowns.
Your face will just contort,
Yet you'll still have those downs.

Smile and Be Happy

As good and bad visit you,
Just keep this in mind.
Happiness is what you view
Plus what you leave behind.

If seeing bad is your fate,
Bitterness drives you mad.
It's yourself you really hate
Since you discovered sad.

But if good is your choice,
The world becomes your place.
Though good and bad have a voice,
Smiles will shape your face.

Gone Fishing

Photobucket

Fishermen cast out their nets
We all in turn go fishing
Some will use a rod and line
While others fish by wishing

Photobucket Photobucket

Some wish for so many things
 Like numbers in a line
If the line is lacking some
Next time they say that’s fine

Others fish for gossip
So they can tell to others
No escape for anyone
Not even someone’s brothers

Photobucket PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Fishing for a missing sock
The washer won’t release
Hiding out behind the drum
With fluff and bits of fleece

You see we all go fishing
Not always using bait
Just cast a line for what you want
 Then settle down and wait

bow. and wow.

...dog talk

and so too i have a dog
whose only language is
bow. and wow.

and true to the limits of his language

as he walks  and sways
and rolls   and runs like
a dog, and

Photobucket

true indeed to
his nature this dog comes
before him

and then it makes
the bow and then
believing in his power and glory

Photobucket

this patriotic and
loyal dog keeps
on saying:
wow wow wow

Experiencing Sunset Part 1

Location: Brgy. Sinabacan and Uacon, Candelaria, Zambales

10 yrs after JVP year. Changes. Love still there.  Sigh all the way. Hugs really care. Words not needed. Welcoming Smiles. Unfaded Memoirs. Hands clasped like sands. Sun is hot like a warm heart. Home moved but people remained. Goodbyes like Hellos.

Me and My Sunset Love !

bye-bye my love, ' she said
'our love aint worthy another try'
hand in hand
in the sunset, we stand
'i just want this day to end, ' she says
'so that you can have your first last kiss'
i go east, she heads west
to chase our wildest dreams

so i run and run
to catch up with the sun
and make today remain
if you see me coming down the road
my shadow taller than my saul
just know am on the race
a race against time
am trying my love am trying
to make this day a-never ending
but the sun is sinking
sinking behind the mountains
to rise again behind me

she runs and runs
away from the sunset
into the darkness
on and on to the west she goes
thank God the earth is round
eventually she emerges from the east
running towards the dawn
sunset and dawn become one
and we meet again
she falls into my arms
and makes my day again
i get my second last kiss
and at sunset our circle will progress

its craziness this love we share
we cant be together
and we cant be apart

Straw of Berries

Not All in Life Is Strawberries and Cream

Not all in life is strawberries and cream
not all that shines
are diamonds that gleem
there are roads of pebbles
and roads of asphalt
there are raging rivers
and silvery streams
but not in life
is strawberries and cream

There are ways to do things
that flow like the afternoon wind
there are voices that sing
that ascend to the heights of heaven
and voices that crash
under the waves of the sea's
there are hushed whispers
and there are piercing screams
but not all in life
is strawberries and cream

The disappointment of blunder
hearts and visions sawn asunder
i wait to yield my harvest
toiled for so long and hard
a striving toward the golden horizon
to reap some forgotten bounty
found after times bitter and long
i open a door in a world of dreams
to realize...

is strawberries and cream
