Gone Fishing

Photobucket

Fishermen cast out their nets
We all in turn go fishing
Some will use a rod and line
While others fish by wishing

Photobucket Photobucket

Some wish for so many things
 Like numbers in a line
If the line is lacking some
Next time they say that’s fine

Others fish for gossip
So they can tell to others
No escape for anyone
Not even someone’s brothers

Photobucket PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Fishing for a missing sock
The washer won’t release
Hiding out behind the drum
With fluff and bits of fleece

You see we all go fishing
Not always using bait
Just cast a line for what you want
 Then settle down and wait

I Know why the caged bird sings

I know why the caged bird sings.
For the sign of hope that tomorrow brings.
Photobucket
I know why the caged bird won't fly.
Because he rests on the soul of life
and if he flies away he will surely die.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

But tell me please, oh someone please,
please tell me because I just don't understand
why that one little caged bird cries.
Is he sad, is he lonely, is he discombobulated?
Photobucket
That poor little caged bird is lost on the road.
Would someone please show him which way to go.
I know why the caged bird sings.
For a sign of faith that tomorrow brings.

Colors of Life

Life is like crayons,
That gives attractions,
It is filled with colors and meanings,
And so interesting...
PhotobucketPhotobucket
Photobucket
Life is like a rainbow,
That others doesn't know,
It is full of excitement and glow,
Which will be remembered all day long...
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
Photobucket
From beginning till ending,
From sadness to happiness,
From failure to success.
GOD is always with us...here...there...and everywhere.

My First Train Experience

Life’s Railway

Life is a lot like a railway
As we travel along through time
Clickety clacking along our way
A good life we seek to find

We pass through many places
Meet folks both good and bad
Have experiences along the way
Many happy but some are sad

Some of the places we travel
We never plan to return
But others stay in our memory
Good lessons we have learned

We never know what we will see
All we can do is take it day by day
Doing the very best we can
As we travel life’s exciting railway!

Our lady Of Peñafrancia

Childhood Religion

I have lived most of my life with individual expression and thought
At times sacrificed free will and allowed it to be bought.
My religion has been brought from out of the past
While life is the present and precedence does not last.

I understand that there has to be building blocks for life
But I question why the foundation caused so much strife?
I was taught to confess childhood sin
With a penance from man for a new life to begin. Photobucket Photobucket
Power and fear were the idols of my church and thusly so
Human compassion and forgiveness seldom did we know.
When I observed my pastor in military regalia go to the altar
I thought how cruel and therein did I falter. Photobucket Photobucket
Photobucket
That moment I lost my belief in a church I did chose
But I have faith in the eternal gift which I will never lose.
Over the years I have sat and listened to others
Mostly words from the past and seldom from my brothers.
